I think basically when we first decided to come to Alive In Christ, our kids were younger and we were looking for something that maybe we could identify with more in the service. The church we were attending was pretty traditional and liturgical and I think it went over the kids' heads. When we would come to Alive In Christ, it was pretty down to earth and at their level, at our level too. That is really what brought us here. It was more informal and the kids got more out of

I think what kept us coming back though was, I enjoyed how the people talked about what God was doing in their lives and it was really nice to have other Christians to talk about what God was doing in their lives and I was ready to come back for more. Mike and I think the reason why we started attending Alive In Christ was we noticed our kids were bored in church and when we came to Alive In Christ, they were taking an interest by taking notes during the sermons and that was a big improvement. We liked the people that we met, the opportunity to get involved in a care group, and to know people more personally was very important. The people we have met in care groups have become lifelong friends and we come back because of them. |

I attended many churches around Columbia when I came to school here. This was the friendliest church that I came to. I came out of so many doors and never once got a hello from any of the members. When I came to Alive In Christ, I was greeted by at least a dozen people here, got seated, met another dozen people and on the way out, I met another dozen people. It was so awesome. I experienced such friendliness and witnessed relationships with God in this church. There are so many Godly people within the leadership of this church. It's just awesome.
