The Bible is God's word... We believe that the Bible is God's inspired word. It is His gift to us to reveal the plan of salvation for all who believe in Jesus Christ. It is our source of authority and therefore is the primary means by which we grow, maintain and increase our relationships with God and with each other. (Psalm 119:105, John 17:17, Hebrews 4:12).
Prayer... God desires relationships with all people. He has not only given us His word, but He invites us to come to Him in prayer. We believe that prayer is a vital part of our relationship with Him and seek to implement and grow in our prayer life in all that we do. (Isaiah 56:7, Ephesians 6:18, James5:16)
The Lost... Jesus died so that all people might be saved. It is because of God's great love that He sent Jesus. It is because of Jesus' great love that He died. We believe that all Christians are commissioned to share this love with others.(John 3:16, Matthew 28:18-20, Jude 1:20-23)
God’s Gifts... God not only tells us he loves us; He expresses that love in physical ways.
God takes ordinary things like water, bread and wine and through the power of His Word and Holy Spirit, gives us what we need the most: forgiveness, salvation and life. We celebrate and enjoy God’s gifts as an important aspect of our worship. (Matthew 26:26-28, 1 Peter 3:21, John 4:24)
Unity... Jesus prayed that His Church be unified. We believe God has called us to be a people who seek Biblical reconciliation in our conflicts. We desire to follow after the leading of God’s Holy Spirit in the unity that Christ died for. We believe God will lead us together as we seek to accomplish His will for our lives. (John 17:22, 1 Corinthians 1:10, Ephesians 4:3)
Spiritual Growth... God longs for us to grow in our faith and understanding of His love and plan for our lives. We believe that it is God’s will that we challenge ourselves to take seriously God’s will for our life. We believe that disciplining ourselves to learn, study, and mature in our faith is God’s will for all believers. (Ephesians 4:11-15, 1 Peter 2:2, Hebrews 6:1)
Worship... We believe worship is vital to our life in Christ. It is in worship that we are joined together as a body, hear God’s Word proclaimed, and receive His gifts. It is our opportunity to respond to God’s love with our praise and worship. We believe it must be a priority in our lives to come together regularly for worship. (Psalm 100:2, John 4:23, Hebrews 10:25)
Each Other... People matter to God. People matter to us. We believe that God desires for us to not only be in relationship with Him, but also with each other. We strive to have deep and meaningful relationships as manifestations of God’s love, grace and mercy. (John 13:34, Matthew 22:38-39, Romans 12:10)
